Our Review Of The Talk Talk Broadband & Phone Essentials Package

By switching your phone line rental to Talk Talk and taking the TalkTalk home phone & broadband essential package you can get up to 14Mb broadband, plus evening and weekend UK landline phone calls. The total cost per month you will pay is £3.25 (currently half price for the first 12 months), plus TalkTalk telephone line rental from £9.50 a month (this is not an extra cost, you pay phone line rental currently with your existing telephone provider e.g. BT £13.90 a month). You'll also receive a free wireless router worth £30, plus free anytime calls to other Talk Talk customers.

Please note that the Talk Talk packages outlined above and below are a selection only. More combinations containing flexible 'Boosts' like Mobile Minutes and Global Minutes are available at TalkTalk.co.uk, which means you can tailor your package to your own specific needs. It's also worth noting that Talk Talk Broadband is currently available to 85% of UK households. These are in areas where TalkTalk has unbundled the local BT telephone exchange. In you live in an area not served by a TalkTalk unbundled exchange, you will have to pay an additional £15 a month on top of the costs outlined here.

Our Final Comment And Rating For Talk Talk Broadband Packages
In our opinion the new Talk Talk Essentials package represents the best value broadband and phone call packages currently available on the market - offering significant savings compared to other leading suppliers and great flexibility. It's worth noting that Talk Talk's well documented customer service problems caused by the huge demand for its broadband and phone packages has now eased considerably. Over the last 3 years the company has made significant investments in its customer service and technical divisions with the benefits really being seen now. It's certainly a better time to order with them, especially as new customers can now get the TalkTalk Essentials package HALF PRICE for 12 months, plus get FREE connection worth £30 and TalkTalk phone line rental from £9.50 a month (a total saving of at least £129 on standard TalkTalk prices) - provided they order the package online at the TalkTalk.co.uk website.
